A lot of people who are looking for “custom printing” find us on the web. It’s because we use the term a lot! But what exactly is it? For us, custom printing includes several of the services we specialize in, the most important being graphic design for print production. This is something we’ve been doing for 24+ years. Our design team takes a concept conveyed by the customer — either during a phone call, a conversation over email, an in-person consultation, or by reviewing information provided by the client (such as existing marketing or event materials) — and then they get started working on a custom printed piece.
Here are some examples jobs we complete that fall within the scope of “custom printing”:
One of our biggest sellers is custom cards. We can take your hand-drawn images, paintings, photos or other pieces of art and create flat or fold-over cards in various sizes and configurations. This is a very popular service for those of our clients who value uniqueness in their communications. If you’re tired of using canned greeting cards or sending flimsy photo cards from online vendors, you’ll really appreciate the personal touch that your recipients feel from a high-quality custom card. We offer plenty of paper choices to show off your art properly. And these cards are not only for holidays! Custom cards are a great way to send any message, any time. Plus here’s a little secret — our custom-designed cards are often much cheaper than cards at the convenience store. The more you buy the less you pay.
Custom posters, poster boards and banners
If you call around you’ll find that with many shops you’re limited to certain size poster boards. That’s because they buy pre-cut foam core boards. We don’t do that here. We buy 48″ x 96″ boards and cut them down to custom sizes. Foam core board mounted posters are one of the most useful and popular items we sell here. Our designers will take your logo, pictures, images, photographs, text, event details — really anything you want to provide — and create custom wide-format posters (matte or gloss papers), poster boards, and vinyl banners and backdrops of any size. We make these for clients who host events, attend trade shows, or want to announce something at their store, school or club. Bright full-color imagery can pull in customers, outline a schedule, direct traffic or give special thanks to event sponsors, among other things. And since we create them in-house, you can often get high-quality custom wide format prints on the same day as your order.
Custom invitations and announcements
If you’ve tried to typeset your own invitations or announcements, you know just how precise you need to be with margins, borders and other elements to make the final product even remotely presentable. Most of our customers who try to do this quickly find out that designing for print is difficult. And this is before they figure out they’d need to bring us their prints for cutting and/or scoring anyway! When you’re having an important event — such as a wedding or anniversary party — or announcing a big milestone, we can create a custom invitation or announcement for you. And it can be more than just properly formatted text. We’ll print and cut your custom piece to size on one of our high-quality card stocks or even on paper you supply. Further, we can mail merge your address list onto matching envelopes for a clean look and less work for you.
Custom postcards and mailers
Direct mail is a very effective way to get new customers for your business. But you need to plan before you mail or you’re going to waste money. If your marketing piece isn’t set up right, it won’t work. You need eye catching graphics, a good headline, plus copy tailored to get a response from potential clients! This is something we’re particularly good at. With a nice mix of creative and analytical thinkers here, when we put our heads together we can really make an impact on your marketing. You want even more “custom”? Use variable data to customize each piece — not simply the addressee’s name but imagery to — for every single recipient. Boom!
And don’t forget presentation! The last step after printing your materials on one of our digital presses or wide format printers is perfect finishing — cutting, scoring, folding, drilling, mounting, laminating, etc. — so the final product will look fantastic.
We use a digital printing process to make custom t-shirts in small batches. Digital allows us to create full-color high-resolution prints on cotton! Direct-to-garment printing is a service we added because it compliments our business model of making high-quality designs and prints with ultra-fast turnaround times.
